This paper, published in 2012 in Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, summarises the treatment options for diabetic foot ulcers following a systematic review of the literature.

Carried out by the International Working Group of the Diabetic Foot it was a systematic review of the evidence to inform protocols for routine care and to highlight areas which should be considered for further study. Building on existing work prior to 2006 it looked at papers published between December 2006 and June 2010.
