Dose adjustment for normal eating’ (DAFNE) is a 5-day structured education programme for adults with type 1 diabetes that provides the knowledge and skills required for insulin adjustment on a meal-by-meal basis, within a safe environment.

DAFNE forms part of a collection from the Department of Health which provides users with practical case studies that address the quality and productivity challenge in health and social care. All are evaluated by NICE and are evaluation is based on the degree of savings, quality, evidence and implementability.
