This case study very briefly describes the different approaches used by the team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to involving patients in their work on the Health Foundation’s Co-creating Health programme to develop self-management support.

Involvement includes:

• Developing new materials for patients.
• Refining existing materials to better support self-management.
• Working with clinical teams as they develop and adapt services.
